The adolescent brain: Hungry for knowledge & experience

The adolescent brain is continually hungry for new experiences and forming structural connections. Since the brain has a craving for information and heightened sensitivity for new skills, adolescents need to have positive outlets to pursue new experiences actively. When considering risk-taking behaviors, positive risk-taking opportunities must be available, such as trying out for an extracurricular activity or taking on new responsibilities.
