This research shows that adolescents who participate in technology-based activities, such as video games and online social media, before bedtime, experience shorter sleep duration and lower sleep quality. In contrast, adolescents that spend time with family experience longer sleep duration. These findings illustrate the importance of how time is spent before going to sleep.
